Big green help
To help more kids better understand global warming, the Pew Center recently collaborated with Nickelodeon to research kids' and parents' attitudes and behaviors toward the environment. Nickelodeon is using the information for an interactive campaign called The Big Green Help.

Case of the warming planet
Mr. and Mrs. Cool hire the 'Rain or Shine' Detective Agency to investigate why winters are getting shorter and summers were just getting to be too much. See if you can solve the case.

Climate change kids page (EPA)
The Student's guide to global climate change focuses on the science and impacts of global warming or climate change, and on actions that help address climate change issues. Designed as a resource for both kids and educators the site features games, events and links to other relevant sites.

Climate change wildlife and wildlands toolkit (U.S. Global Change Research Program)
This free tool helps teachers tell their students about individual climates and how they are affected by global warming.

Climate kids: NASA's eyes on the Earth
Specifically for kids, this site focuses on global climate change issues featuring games, questions and stories. It also answers a few of the basic introductory climate change definition questions.

Climate Wisconsin - Stories from a State of Change
Features stories about the rapidly changing climate. The collection of multimedia includes ten videos and two interactive resources along with background essays and teaching tips.

Global climate change: research explorer
This site is a window into the world of scientific research on climate change. Learn about physical processes underlying the earth's climate, data on how the climate is changing and the role of human activity, and questions and uncertainties that researchers continue to explore. The site is organized in five parts: the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, biosphere and global effects.

Global warming FAQ (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration)
This site can answer many questions about global warming, including: What is the greenhouse effect, and is it affecting our climate? Are greenhouse gases increasing? Is the climate warming? Is the atmospheric/oceanic circulation changing? Is the climate becoming more variable or extreme? How important are these changes in a longer-term context?

Global warming photographs (World View of Global Warming)
Check out these great photos that can be used for class activities. Photographer Gary Braasch visually documents climate change from the Arctic to Antarctica, from glaciers to the oceans, across all climate zones including the tropics, England and the Polar regions. Images are accessible via a clickable world map.

Living in the greenhouse
This site provides a wealth of information about the global climate. Thinking through climate change (Student Resources and Teacher Information)
This is an enquiry-based learning resource that involves 7-14 year old students in critical thinking about climate change. It includes classroom discussion points and worksheets as well as online interactive activities. Designed by teachers to make the most of e-learning and to support independent and group enquiry into this complex global issue.
